About Us...
Would you or your child like to attend a Guitar/Bass Guitar, Music School and improve your/their musical performance? Or arrange some individual guitar or bass lessons, in our studios or at your home. Why not try - Dorset Guitars your specialist guitar and bass lessons centre based in Poole Dorset Uk.
Dorset Guitars is an independent organisation aimed at promoting the guitar and bass guitar by allowing musicians to study and play together.
The Guitar School gives formal individual instruction and group tuition, and accelerates further development. The activities lay down good foundations for any future work in music and develop existing skills. The music that the groups perform, is fun and not limited to just classical, or pop or rock music. An exposure to many styles of playing is the aim. However, a firm foundation of finger style is considered important and likewise reading standard notation is also essential and so heavily promoted in most classes.
Relying on tablature only, is not an option for any DGs students.
Main Aims...
To develop, your guitar or bass playing skills and ensemble performance. To increase your awareness of music in general. To study different styles of guitar and bass music. To practice to a performance level within the ensemble and if selected, be able to enjoy performing at DGs. functions, as requested. Above all to have fun with music and enjoy its inherent fellowship.
As part of this project there are various competitions with awards and major effort will be rewarded. (At present school age students only)
Dorset Guitars is a study centre for "TrinityGuildhall" classical guitar and "Rockschool" electric guitar and bass.

(Dorset School Terms). The venue is St Edward's School, Dale Valley Road, Poole. Road. Links are very good as St Edward's lies just off the main Dorset Way (Poole), exit to Oakdale. Stan Cesarz is a Professional Musician, with over twenty five years experience in the Music Business. He performs on Guitar and keyboard instruments, and is a tutor at a number of Dorset Schools. He teaches Guitar, Bass Guitar and Keyboards and runs a very busy private practice. His student list is usually near 200 in total, seen on a weekly basis. He is tutor and director of Dorset Guitars.

He has written much music for various instruments and feels that his writing and arranging skills showcase his musicianship.
He believes that his students examination records are a worthy indicator of his skills and commitment, more so than quoting old dated examinations. Such results are current and are a regular assessment. If you judge by examination results, then you should know that an average pass rate of 96% has been achieved for the last decade. (These are for beginners grade 1 to advanced grade 8.) Full results are published and in relevant newsletters. Many students have now progressed onto University and into the Music Business. However examinations aside, his enthusiasm for most things musical is catching, and always, just a little inspiring.

A Word Of Thanks...
My thanks goes out to all those numerous people who gave me the opportunity to make music . Particularly as a child my ever loving parents and now my wonderful family, thank you for your continuing support. My special thanks goes out to so many who influenced my music, especially Ed Labuda for his patience and assistance in the early years, and the late Frank Evans for his gentle, masterly, authority, from afar. To all those who I am in regular contact with, thank you for your confidence, we move forward together. Finally, without The Master's touch I am nothing !
